History
S. Jackson Wingfield, Jr. (Jack) moved from Richmond, Virginia as a regional manager for Toledo Scale. The business grew quickly as Jack experienced sales doubling every three years.
In 1969, Wingfield Scale became an independent scale dealer and has thrived as one of the largest independent scale dealers in the county. Jack's son S. Jackson Wingfield, III (Jackson) took the helm of the company in 1978.
While continuing to grow the industrial scale business, Jackson developed rental equipment that when implemented dramatically decreased the time required for and increased the accuracy of physical inventories. Joseph Wingfield, Jackson's son, began supervising daily operations in 2004.
Today, Wingfield Scale continues to be a leading industrial scale dealer and maintains the largest fleet of rental scales in the nation.
